Rock & Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive

Get ready to Rock ‘N Roll Up Your Sleeve with the American Red Cross and Channel 963. Now in its 5th year, the special event blood drive returns with the opportunity to give Sept. 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Hall, 7001 W. 21st.

The Rock ‘N Roll Up Your Sleeve blood drive continues to rock on with more than 500 pints of blood collected in the past four years. At this year’s drive, all those who come to donate will receive a Red Cross commemorative T-shirt, while supplies last.

To schedule a donation appointment to the 2017 Rock ‘N Roll Up Your Sleeve blood drive, use the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS and use sponsor code RNR-KS.

This blood drive comes as the Red Cross is experiencing an urgent need for blood and platelet donations. Blood products are being distributed to hospitals almost as fast as donations are coming in. Eligible donors of all blood types, especially type O negative and O positive, are urged to give now. As a special thank you, those who come out to give blood or platelets with the Red Cross through Aug. 31 will be emailed a $5 gift certificate toward a gift card from merchants like Target, Panera Bread, CVS Pharmacy or Amazon.com.*
