The 28th annual Susan G. Komen Wichita Race for the Cure on September, 23rd at the Waterwalk Plaza in Downtown Wichita. Come celebrate, honor, and remember those that have fought breast cancer. We have something for the entire family to participate in throughout the morning.This is our largest fundraiser of the year! We rely on this event to help us raise a majority of our funds to be able to help women and men here in Kansas that are battling breast cancer. We will also be able to contribute to cutting edge research that is progressing forward to find the cures for breast cancer. Please consider joining our Race to help save lives.
75% of the funds raised by our affiliate STAY RIGHT HERE IN KANSAS to fund our competitive grant program. Those grants do everything from providing screenings and mammograms to women that might not be insured or unable to afford them providing educational opportunities that stress the importance of every woman getting their yearly screening so that if breast cancer is ever found, hopefully, it is found early when it is most treatable.
