Making Strides Against Breast Cancer unite communities behind the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives from breast cancer. Here's what you can expect:
This year, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer presented by Ascension Via Christi may look different for the safety of our participants, but it will still be filled with mission moments and will be just as fun! Please plan to arrive at WAVE at 9:00am for our Drive-Up event. Decorate your cars and yourself in PINK! The best dressed car will win a prize. First, we will provide a free breakfast in a bag and drink for all participants, and survivors will also receive a free swag bag as you drive through WAVE. Next stop is the large parking lot across from WAVE where you can park and enjoy your breakfast in the privacy of your car. We will then provide a mission filled presentation that you can watch in front of WAVE, and tune into the Making Strides radio station from your car stereo to hear all the action. Afterwards, enjoy the Paint The Town Pink Walk on your own - we will provide a map of all participating businesses in downtown Wichita and each one will have a different promotion or fundraiser in support of Making Strides! We will also have an on-line PINK auction! Hope to see you there! Registration is free at www.makingstrideswalk.org/wichitaks.
- 9:00am - Please arrive at WAVE. Drive-thru WAVE to receive your free breakfast in a bag and drink. All survivors will also receive a free Ascension Via Christi swag bag.
- 9:30am - Park at front of WAVE to enjoy your breakfast
- 9:45am - 10:30am - Making Strides Presentation - tune into the Making Strides radio station from your car to hear all the action while you watch the program from the comfort of your car. Award presented for best dressed car!
- 10:30am - Enjoy the Paint The Town Pink Walk on your own - we will provide a map of all participating businesses in downtown Wichita and each one will have a different promotion or fundraiser in support of Making Strides! Feel free to visit each business before you head home.
