Prince Harry not only watched Netflix's The Crown... he fact-checked it! The Duke of Sussex appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in 2023 to dive into the release of his memoir, Spare, which revealed inside information about relationships within the royal family, and got candid about his Netflix watching habits.

The beloved royal's Netflix binging history is very extensive, and one of the shows that he's made a point to watch in its entirety is The Crown: a series about ongoings within the United Kingdom's royal family following Queen Elizabeth II marriage to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, in 1947. Harry revealed that he's watched the show, and not only that, but he's actually fact-checked it.

"Yes, I have actually watched The Crown. The older stuff and the more recent stuff."

According to Mirror, this is not the first time that the royal has spoken publicly about the series. In a 2021 interview with James Corden, the Duke of Sussex shared that while the series is somewhat fictional, a few aspects are true.

"It gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle, what the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that."

However, when the series started depicting his "immediate family members" a source revealed that Prince Harry allegedly stopped watching it because it felt "too close to the bone to be enjoyable."

Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle departed from their roles as working members of the royal family in February of 2021 (per People) due to rising tension. The Duke of Sussex has since been very vocal about his strained relationship with his brother, Prince William, and life following he and Markle's decision to exit, present within the lines of his memoir.
