Gwyneth Paltrow is set to make her return to acting and it's reportedly due to her daughter's celebrity crush.

The Emma actress is heading back to the big screen after a five-year break for the upcoming A24 film Marty Supreme, which she will star in alongside Timothée Chalamet, per Page Six. Though she has made appearances in shows like The Politician and American Horror Stories over the last few years, her last film credit was in 2019 for Avengers: Endgame.

Paltrow, who has received many accolades throughout her film career including the 1999 Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Shakespeare in Love, had "no major wish" to act but got a nudge from her 20-year-old daughter, Apple Martin.

A source recently told the Daily Mail that Apple "has had a crush" on Chalamet "for years" so when she learned the 28-year-old Dune actor, who recently has been romantically linked to Kylie Jenner, was involved in the movie, she encouraged her mom to join.

"As soon as Gwyneth told Apple that Timothée is not only a producer but also the lead actor, she pleaded with her mom to accept," the source said, adding, "After reading it and loving it, despite having no major wish to act right now, she was convinced by Apple, who intends to be on set as much as possible."

Paltrow shares Apple and 18-year-old son Moses with Coldplay frontman and ex-husband Chris Martin, who divorced in 2016. Since their split, Paltrow has gone on to marry Brad Falchuk while Martin has moved on with fiancée Dakota Johnson. Last year, the Goop founder revealed how she really feels about her ex's new love.
