Jennie Garth made a recent appearance on "The Bright Side" Podcast where she opened up about all kinds of topics, including her own podcast "I Choose Me," as well as her new clothing, her divorce from ex-husband Peter Facinelli and co-parenting their three children together.
But, she also opened up about getting through all of life's curve balls and difficult moments, including the recent death of fellow 9021 star Shannen Doherty. Garth shared:
"I've had a lot of incredible moments in my life, and I'm so grateful for the show and the trajectory of how I'm still talking about it and people still love it, and I still love it and I'm not embarrassed by it. So I feel like when bad things happen, you just have to go back to how grateful you are for your life. For me, I really believe in feeling my feelings. I know what happens when you stuff your feelings and you compartmentalize and you don't process things and you don't clean out the closet. So now, at this point in my life, after going through so many deaths and just big moments and moments of triumph and moments of despair, being in a place in my life where I didn't know what the future was, I didn't know what I was going to do. There have been so many times when I've been really lost. I say that because I'm on the other side, and the only way to get to the other side of something is to go through it, not around it. Allow your body to feel the pain, and then work to get it out of your body. You have to dig in sometimes and look within, and really acknowledge the reality of your life and what you're going through and what you're dealing with, and in doing that it really does help you to get through it quicker and more gracefully."
