Elvis Duran is detailing the most "unforgettable" guest he has ever interviewed.

Duran, host of iHeartRadio's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, has years of experience chatting with the biggest musicians and celebrities, and while many leave a lasting impression, there are some that have left their "unforgettable" mark on the careered interviewer.

In honor of National Radio Day on August 20, Duran opened up about his career in radio, from the way hearing himself on Z100 for the very first time "changed everything in [his] life" to revealing the one tradition he hope never goes away. He also shared why the first time Lady Gaga appeared as a guest on the show was the "most unforgettable" interview he has had to date.

"She walked through the door, and we were like, 'holy crap there's Lady Gaga,' but she said the same thing to us because she grew up listening to us," he gushed. "She said, I can't believe I'm here listening to your voices in the same room as you."

Duran remembered being surprised by the sentiment and, shocked, explaining that the interview was all about her.

"She said, no it's about you and having me on as a guest today is probably the moment I'll never forget," he said. "And we'll never forget her unforgettable moment, and all is well."

As for the "most unexpected" guest he has ever spoken with, that honor belongs to Arnold Schwarzenegger after a chance encounter led to an impromptu interview with the Terminator actor and former governor of California.

"His energy alone ran the interview," he said. "It was just, add water and stir, man. It was one of the most unexpected but fantastic interviews we've ever done. I really enjoyed that."

Duran also explained that his favorite aspect of being a part of iHeartRadio is the "showbiz" and pushing the boundaries of what radio can be, such as coming up with innovative ideas they've never done before like the iHeartRadio Music Festival, which has only gotten bigger and better year after year.

"That's one of the great things about iHeartRadio. It has proven to us, and to our listeners and our partners, that we're much more than just radio. We're so many things, and all the other things we do other than radio makes doing the radio part all the more exciting."
