Ryan Manno’s Simple Spaghetti Surprise

Here's his AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS suggestion:

Buy a spaghetti squash.

Cut in half -- length wise.

Scoop the guts.

Massage with olive oil.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Place half a Boursin cheese block in one half. The other half in the other half.

Add halved cherry tomatoes.

Toss in some minced garlic (even from the jar)

Bake 45 mins at 450.

He'll eat like a king for 2 days. Takes almost ZERO time and effort.

There's nothing like mama's home cooking! We have food from all of our mamas on the show. Here's a recipe from mommy Ellen K's mommy Ilene:

LIME CHICKEN

2-3 lb. - Chicken, cut-up or chicken pieces

1 cup - Wild rice (or brown) - not instant

2.5 cups - Chicken broth

2 Tablespoons - Honey

3 Tablespoons - Lime juice

1/2 cup - grated onion (optional)

1 teaspoon - shredded lime peel

1 teaspoon - salt

1/4 teaspoon - pepper

2 Tablespoons - sliced almonds

Lime slices

Heat oven to 350-degrees. Combine chicken broth, honey, lime juice, shredded lime peel, salt and pepper in saucepan. Simmer for 15-minutes. Put rice in casserole dish, top with chicken pieces. Pour chicken broth mixture over the chicken. Cover dish and bake for one hour. Remove cover and sprinkle almonds and lime slices over chicken. Bake additional 5-minutes or until chicken is done and most of the liquid is absorbed. Voila!

In less than 25-minutes, you could prep & cook a yummy dinner with Ellen K's simple recipe. You will need:

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce
  • 2 pounds skinless halibut fillets

Here are the steps to preparing this heavenly dish:

  • Step 1 - Preheat the oven broiler. Grease a baking dish.
  • Step 2 - In a bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise, lemon juice, green onions, salt, and hot pepper sauce.
  • Step 3 - Arrange the halibut fillets in the prepared baking dish.
  • Step 4 - Broil halibut fillets 8 minutes in the prepared oven, or until easily flaked with a fork. Spread with the Parmesan cheese mixture, and continue broiling 2 minutes, or until topping is bubbly and lightly browned.

We're cooking more than ever! So, we're loading you up with some of our favorite recipes to cook at home. Here's Ryan Manno's famous recipe for Lemon Chicken Spaghetti Toss! Here's what you'll need:

INGREDIENTS
5 green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter margarine
2 tablespoons olive oil 
1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
3 tablespoons lemon juice
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
1 package spaghetti
Parmesan cheese to top
DIRECTIONS
In a large skillet, saute onions & garlic in butter & oil until tender.
Stir in the chicken, lemon juice, parsley & lemon-pepper.
Saute for 15-20 min or until chicken juices run clear.
Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain.
Add to chicken mixture & toss.

Cheesy Chicken Monterey

Ingredients

1 package of Knorr sides rice (or make your own rice)

1 can corn (drained)

1 can black beans (drained)

1 can chopped green chilies (undrained)

1 pound boneless skinless chicken

1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese

Prepare the rice, stir in the corn, chilies & black beans. Sauté the chicken (add seasoning as preferred). Top the chopped chicken over a bed of rice, finish it with a layer of shredded cheese. Voila! Dinner is ready!
