Ashton Kutcher has received the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award for being a good role model.
In recent years, Kutcher has become known for his incredible work to end human trafficking through his software company Thorn. During his speech, he recognized the fact that the public hasn't always been considered such a role model:
I'm also probably the first person to receive this award who had their name splashed across every gossip magazine as an adulterer, like, five years ago."
He also opened up about how growing up with his twin brother, Michael, who has cerebral palsy, shaped with character:
It comes out when you're walking your brother home from school and some kid hits you in the back of the head because he wants to fight with your brother and you say 'no' ... That's when character comes out."
