I remember being 6-years-old, my parents staring out the back patio at darkening skies, when the alarm went off. They rushed us down to the basement, where they turned over the couch and tucked us underneath to protect against flying debris.
We were lucky. The tornado missed our home. But a couple of days later, our grandparents drove us to Andover... and we saw those who weren't so fortunate. I remember a home that looked just like a dollhouse- the front half ripped off, giving us a peak at a perfectly set dinner table and a bed with the sheets still tucked-in.
We've curated some home videos from that day, showing how the Andover Tornado looked from different perspectives as it marked its destructive path.
