United Airlines Passenger Fights With Gate Attendant Over Carry On Bag Size

If you haven't flown lately, or you're not a frequent flier, trying to get on a plane with just any 'ole bag could end up in a big 'ole checked bag fee. That's because airlines have really started to crack down on passengers' carry on and personal items, often requiring them to fit their bags into regulation sized bins before boarding.

And that's what recently happened to a woman trying to board a flight with her purse as her personal item:
