Graphic design studio Visual Fusion has turned a Wichita man into a walking billboard... for a new kidney!
Warren Carter heard some people are getting the life-saving kidneys they need by advertising, so designer Katie Brown made him his own special t-shirt!
Visual Fusion posted:
Warren has type A blood. He is on the registry at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City Transplant Clinic–Wichita and said they told him that it doesn't matter if the donor is A+ or A-. O+/- donors are universal and can donate to any blood type!
It's been over two weeks, and while Warren has had several calls, there's still no match. Visual Fusion shared an update on April 10:
Warren and his caregiver Kenni just stopped by our office to say hi - he said he's gotten a few calls but unfortunately hasn't had anyone qualify through the process just yet. We wanted to post another contact to get hold of if anyone would seriously be interested in donating their kidney to him. Please call Becky at 316-303-1045, she is the Organ Donor Coordinator at St. Luke's and would be the person to reach about organ donation to Warren or anyone else in need of a transplant. Thank you again to everyone who has shared our post and spread awareness of those in need - a little positivity and kindness can go a long way!
