The St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Lord's Diner fundraiser helps provide meals for those less fortunate in our community. Donations from this annual event totally fund the meal costs for the Vinnie Mobile truck in Evergreen Park. The Lord’s Diner serves an evening meal 365 days a year. A small paid staff, assisted by more than 6,000 volunteers representing many faiths and denominations prepare and serve a hot, nutritious meal in a spirit of compassion, respect and loving service. The Lord’s Diner is currently serving an average of 3,500 meals nightly at three dining facilities (one in downtown Wichita, one in south Wichita and one in Pittsburg) and three food trucks (one in northwest Wichita, one in southeast Wichita, and one in northeast Wichita), to any guest who needs a nutritious meal - 60 percent of which are families. They also provide meals at Harbor House and St. Anthony Family Shelter.
