We are seven months away (December 15, 2017) from Star Wars: Episode VII - The Last Jedi hitting the big screen in Wichita. I am looking so forward to it. Nerd Reactor has confirmed that a legacy character has been confirmed.
Could the ghost of Yoda return?
An interview with Frank Oz in Variety from March certainly lends its hand to the possibility. In fact, Oz arguably confirms Yoda’s appearance with his “non-answer” answer.
Oz told the interviewer, “I feel like I’m a prisoner at war here. And I can only give you my name, rank and serial number. To be true to the people who asked me, and they are kind of my family, I have to say I’ve been asked not to talk about it. I love Yoda. I would be happy to talk to you about it at the time they let me.”
Why would Frank Oz give such an evasive answer unless Yoda had a definite role?
Even if Yoda had a part in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the role could be a very small one. During the flashback sequence with Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Yoda’s voice appeared only briefly.
Let the rumors continue. I am fine with anything, as long as it speeds the calendar up!
