Wicked Wichita Brew Tour Is Back

Wicked Brew Tour back for second year with even more thirst-quenching options

Visit Wichita's second Wicked Brew Tour, a tasty summertime tour of local breweries and coffee shops, launched today and includes three new breweries, a new coffee shop, Ecclesia, and new t-shirt artwork.  The new breweries are Aero Plains Brewing, Limestone Beer Co. and Third Place Brewing.

“Whether you’re craving a cup of joe or longing for a lager, Wichita always has a variety of breweries and coffee shops to satisfy any beverage desire, and the Wicked Brew Tour serves as the perfect summer checklist for all the tasting brews throughout the city” says Susie Santo, president and CEO of Visit Wichita.

Eight Wichita breweries and seven coffee shops are participating in the tour, which offers patrons a way to earn a free t-shirt just for enjoying the tasty beverages local establishments have to offer. The t-shirt, designed by Josh Tripoli and Rebekah Lewis, pulls in iconic Wichita imagery, including the Wichita flag. The pair also designed the popular mural on the west wall of College Hill Deli, which Visit Wichita sponsored, and has become one of the most popular spots to take a picture in Wichita.

“Wichita has seen amazing growth in local breweries and coffee shops in the past few years, offering a wide variety of beverages made right here,” said Santo. “Whether you want to enjoy a locally-brewed craft beer or take in a heart-warming drink from one of Wichita’s unique coffee shops, the Wicked Brew Tour is a fun way to get out and try a new place – or return to a favorite and sample a new flavor.”

Those wishing to participate in the tour can pick up a passport at any participating business: Aero Plains Brewing, Central Standard Brewing, Churn and Burn, Cocoa Dolce, Ecclesia, Hopping Gnome Brewing Company, Limestone Beer Co., Mead’s Corner Coffeehouse, R Coffee House, Reverie Roasters, River City Brewing Co., The Donut Whole, Third Place Brewing and both Wichita Brewing Co. & Pizzeria locations.

Once participants receive stamps from eight of the fifteen locations on the passport, it can be turned in for a Wicked Brew t-shirt at Visit Wichita, 515 S. Main, Suite 115. Those who prefer to partake in coffee brews only can present their passports with all seven of the coffee shops stamped and receive a t-shirt. The tour continues through September, or while t-shirt supplies last.

To enjoy the tour safely, Wichita has a number of transportation options, including the free Q-line trolley and its newly-expanded routes. Visit www.visitwichita.com/restaurants/wicked-brew-tour for a list.
