US FIGURE SKATING MIDWESTERN AND PACIFIC COAST SYNCHRONIZED SKATING SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

With grace and extreme talent, 2,500 athletes will descend on Wichita to compete in the US Figure Skating Midwestern and Pacific Coast Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships, blocking, twirling, leaping and sliding their way toward a national title. This is the first time a synchronized skating qualifying event has ever taken place in Wichita. The teams who place in the top four at the sectionals competition will go on to the championships in Portland, OR and eventually, Worlds. More than 2,500 athletes representing 160 teams will battle it out on the ice showing off their skills through their unique choreographed routines. The competition will take place at INTRUST Bank Arena from Jan. 24-28, with practices at Wichita Ice Center. One-day or all-event tickets are available for purchase through Select-A-Seat, online and at the INTRUST Bank Arena box office. Tickets start at $25 and kids ages five and under are free.
