Trying to find something to do this weekend? Well, my friends at Visit Wichita have put together a list of cool things happening in the Air Capital City this weekend.  Here's a few things you can check out!


FEB. 9, 2018

Time: 8 p.m. Admission: $20 Advance; $23 Day of show

Location: The Cotillion Ballroom, 11120 W. Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS 67209 

Country music fans will swoon over this live performance from Josh Abbott Band with an opening set from Hunter Hutchinson. Don’t miss this authentic red dirt experience as the sounds of Texas come alive in the middle of Wichita.

Grace Hill Winery is offering a special Valentine’s Day food and wine pairing. Each course will be paired with your choice of a sweet or a dry wine. Vegetarian and gluten-free food options are available. The portions are meant as hors d'oeuvres. There will be two sessions for this event, the first at 12:30 p.m. and the second at 3 p.m. Admission of $30 per person includes your wine glass. The menu is as follows:- Entrance Course - Bruschetta On Toasted Baguette & Tulip Filled w/ Various Chocolates- Second Course - Classic Minestrone Soup- Third Course - Chicken Breast w/ Mushrooms & White Wine Sauce on Bed of Couscous- Fourth Course - Gougeres (French Cheese Puffs)- Final Course - Cinnamon & Sugar Pastry Drizzled in Dark Chocolate

"Show The Love"  is a fundraiser and undergarment drive for the Wichita Harbor House women's and children's domestic violence shelter ran by Catholic Charities. There's going to be several live music performances by some very talented and influential local musicians, and also a silent auction to help raise money for the shelter. Already there's been an overflow of love and donations given for this cause!! Only new undergarments can be donated to this, the shelter doesn't allow used. So let's keep it going guys and give back into your community!  Portion of proceeds go The Harbor House ran by Catholic Charities 21+ to attend  With an awesome lineup like this we can't fail on helping this amazing cause out...!  $5 cover or a pack of women's or children's (boys or girls) undergarments.  

Performances by:  The Cavves,  Kaitlyn Meyer, DJ Cop Out, The Pre-existing Conniptions, Lalanea Chastain w/ Bad Mother Hubbard, Juliet Cellador

Plus there's a silent auction with donations from Tanya's Soup Kitchen, Lucinda's Old Town, District Taqueria, Pinot's Palette, Lotus Leaf Cafe.  Plus, several local artists are donating art for the silent auction as well.
