Busy Weekend Planned For Wichita!

The weather has been great this year at riverfest.  There's still a lot of things going on leading up to the fireworks to cap things off this Saturday night.  Visit Wichita has an awesome list of things to do this weekend in Doo-Dah!  Here's a few things for you to check out.  Enjoy, and be safe!

RIVERFEST 2018

Location: Downtown Wichita

The largest summer celebration in Kansas continues this week with family-friendly activities, delicious food and headliners like Cypress Hill, ZZ Ward, Liz Phair and The Revolution. Don’t miss Riverfest 2018 bringing excitement to downtown Wichita through June 9, 2018.

 

BRADLEY FAIR SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

JUNE 7, 2018

Time: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Admission: Free

Location: Bradley Fair at Wilson Estates, Rock Road & 21st Street, Wichita, KS 67206

Every Thursday, catch relaxing music in the middle of the Bradley Fair Plaza. Concerts are free and open to the public. Wine, cocktails and soft drinks will be available for purchase. On June 7, catch Jessy J, a contemporary jazz saxophonist bringing sizzling beats and dynamic rhythms to the Bradley Fair Summer Concert Series stage.

 

DERBY BBQ FESTIVAL

JUNE 8-9, 2018

Time: Begins Friday 6 p.m. Admission: Free

Hungry? Head out to the Derby BBQ Festival where local and regional chefs will come together to serve up the best BBQ you’ve ever tasted. With a cook-off, Kid’s Q event, live music, food trucks and adult beverages, this two-day event will have something for all ages. Don’t miss the “Anything on a Stick” contest, a petting zoo, magician, princess appearances and so much more!

 

WICHITA FORCE VS. DUKE CITY GLADIATORS

Don’t miss out as the Wichita Force indoor football team takes on the Duke City Gladiators in an exciting arena football game at INTRUST Bank Arena. The Force rose to popularity in 2015 when they won a divisional title and championship title the first year they played ball at the arena. It’s a great, family-friendly experience for all ages!

 

45TH ANNUAL LAKE AFTON ALL WHEELS CAR SHOW

JUNE 10, 2018 

Time: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission: Free for spectators

Location: Lake Afton, 25000 W 39th S, Goddard, KS 67052

Bring the family out to the largest free open car show in the world at Lake Afton, just outside Wichita, KS. Enjoy classic custom cars, modified cruisers, hot rods and contemporary muscle cars in this annual event that brings thousands to the area.
