It's the final weekend of July.  Visit Wichita has us all taken care of with area events this weekend.  Here's some things to do in and around the city this weekend.


JULY 25-29, 2018

Pippin is a young prince who longs to find passion and adventure in life. To prove his loyalty to his father, King Charles, Pippin enlists in the military and heads off to war. But when someone encourages the prince to fight tyranny, Pippin kills his father and takes the throne. You don’t want to miss this Broadway classic come to life only the way Music Theatre Wichita can!

Don’t miss tomorrow’s stars playing today at the historic Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in the kick-off to the 84th Annual NBC World Series. Collegiate and amateur baseball stars get their start at this tournament. The National Baseball Congress World Series has been the Summer Collegiate National Championship since 1935, featuring teams from around the country meeting and weeks of baseball fun for the whole family!

JULY 28, 2018

Time: 6:30 p.m. Admission: Free to watch, $5 to enter to participate

Location: 2202 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67211

It’s part celebration, part throwdown! Reverie is celebrating their 5th anniversary with a latte art competition. It’s $5 to enter the competition, but it's free to watch and cheer on your favorite latte artist. The victor of the throwdown will walk away with $400. There will also be door prizes and food specials.

Location: The Cotillion Ballroom, 11120 W. Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS 67209 

Join this “Casual Party,” as Band of Horses takes the stage at The Cotillion Ballroom. With popular songs such as, “The Funeral,” Slow Cruel Hands of Time and “No One’s Gonna Love You,” this Seattle indie rock band has had a following since 2004.
