HOLLY JOLLY JURASSIC HOLIDAY

NOV. 16-DEC. 23, 2018

Join the holiday fun at Field Station: Dinosaurs as their prehistoric friends prepare for a hilarious, unforgettable holiday celebration, where triceratops glisten and children listen to hear T-Rex in the snow. At Holly Jolly Jurassic Holiday, families will marvel at a one-of-a-kind exhibit and light show with 44 life-sized Dinosaurs wrapping gifts, decorating trees and kissing beneath the mistletoe. For seven weeks only, the Field Station will become a sparkling mesozoic winter Wonderland where laughing, learning and holiday cheer go hand-in-hand.

Wichita Grand Opera joins in the worldwide celebrations of the 70th birthday of Oscar, Grammy and Tony Award-winning legend Andrew Lloyd Webber in a landmark fundraising gala at the Crown Uptown Theatre. SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURES OF THE MISSING HOLLY

Enjoy dinner and a holiday-themed show at Prairie Pines Playhouse’s first show of the holiday season. The doors to the theatre will open at 6:15, and the Old Barn Christmas Shop is open from 6 to 6:45 p.m. so you can gather by the warm fire with complimentary cider before the performance. Dinner is served throughout the show, which concludes around 10 p.m.

 

BRADLEY FAIR CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING & HOLIDAY HORSE-DRAWN CARRIAGE RIDES

Celebrate a Wichita tradition with the annual lighting of the Bradley Fair Christmas tree on Nov. 17 followed by the launching of free holiday horse-drawn carriage rides. With new hours this year, you and your family can enjoy these free rides on Sundays between Nov. 18-Dec. 23, from 1-7 p.m. Carriage rides begin at the fountain located at the Bradley Fair Plaza.
