What's Happening In Wichita This Weekend? This!

It's the final weekend before Christmas.  Do you have family and friends in town? Looking for something to do? Here's a list that my friends at Visit Wichita have compiled.  Have a  safe weekend and enjoy the time with loved ones.


DEC. 21, 2018

Time: 7 p.m.                                       Admission: $10-$60

Location: The Cotillion, 11120 W. Kellogg Drive, Wichita, KS 67209 

Watch as current super stars, future greats and legends of the past collide in the middle of one of the toughest rings in wrestling. See greats like Chavo Guerrero, Jr., Jose Canseco, Sting, Kevin Von Erich, DDP and Jake The Snake Roberts show off against up-and-coming talent center-stage.


Will Santa Drink Canada Dry? Or Go Tell It on the Mountie

DEC. 21-23 (runs through Dec. 29)

Time: 7:50 show time (Sunday show time is 6:50)

Admission: $30 per person ($20 per person for show only)

Location: Mosley Street Melodrama, 234 N. Mosley St., Wichita KS 67202 

Enjoy a fabulous holiday show, full of lots of laughs and audience participation, plus a barbecue buffet dinner. The show is followed by a “Jumpin’ Jazzy Christmas Musical Comedy Revue.” Doors open at 6 p.m.; dinner is served from 6:15 to 7:30 and the show starts at 7:50. A unique comedy show, thanks to Marc’s ability to combine stand-up comedy with his expert ventriloquism. His show comes to life through his colorful cast of characters and audience participation. In 2007, he was featured in the television show “Accidentally Famous,” which documented his performance at the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. He also performs regularly as an entertainer for the “fun ships” of Carnival Cruises and headlines regularly at Las Vegas resorts like Excalibur and Casino Royale.


Holiday Tours at the Allen House

DEC. 21-22

Time: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday          Admission: $20

Location: Frank Lloyd Wright Allen House, 225 N. Roosevelt, Wichita KS 67208

Holiday tours at the Frank Lloyd Wright Allen House are available this weekend through next Thursday, Dec. 27. The 10 a.m. tours are the in-depth tours and the afternoon tours are the one-hour basic tours. Step back to 1918 and enjoy a guided tour of the Allen House decorated for the holidays. Vintage decor adorns the home including personal items original to the Allen family.

Time: Noon-4 p.m.                                                          Admission: Free

Location: Old Town Square, 2nd & Mead Streets 

This is your last chance to catch a free holiday carriage ride through historic Old Town Square with your friends and family. Gaze upon the beautiful holiday tree and lighting displays while you enjoy a leisurely afternoon in the entertainment district.
