Dale Kenny never set out to be an Elvis Impersonator, and when it was suggested to him by his wife he really didn't want to imitate The King. But she pushed just the right button, and convinced him to give becoming Elvis a try. She said 'you would not be an impersonator, you are a tribute artist’ and he’s been performing ever since. He performed a private concert for more than 300 "Red Hat" ladies in Wichita, and after the Downtown Newton Car show in 2010. The car show was what Kenny called his first public performance as The King. Following that show, he was invited to Las Vegas - twice. During the second trip, Dale Kenny was ranked as the fourth-best Elvis impersonator in the world.
