National Cat Day is observed each year on October 29th. That's today! The day also encourages cat lovers to celebrate the cats in their lives for the unconditional love and companionship that they bestow upon them.
We have two cats in our home. Lucy is our chubby cat. My step-daughter found her in a bush in our front yard a few years back. She was a newborn and was just a few hours old. The vet said he thinks that maybe the mother had her, and the bad weather that happened earlier in the day may have separated them. My step-daughter took her in and we bottle-fed her. She grew up to be big and lazy. That sounds like me.
Eclipse if our other cat. My other step-daughter picked her out at the Kansas Humane Society when she was a kitten. She named her Eclipse, because we adopted the kitten the week of the eclipse that we had a couple years back.
