WICHITA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS "THE MAGIC OF MEXICO"

The Wichita Symphony Orchestra weaves together a vibrant tapestry of the people, places and everyday life across 18 states in Mexico. From Zacatecas to Chiapas, Oaxaca to Baja California Sur, "The Magic of Mexico" draws audiences into the country's colorful heart and treats their senses to the sights and sounds of one place few outsiders get to know. With a live orchestra, multiple digital projectors, a 440-square-foot screen and hundreds of imaged choreographed by Nicholas Bardonnay, there's a beautiful story ready to be told to audiences.

A TUNA CHRISTMAS

Second in a series of plays, featuring the comedic duo of Tom Frye and Allan Baker, Jaston Williams has crafted an affectionate comment on small-town, Southern life and attitudes. Centering on the town’s annual Christmas Yard Display Contest, a “Christmas Phantom” threatens to throw the contest into turmoil. Two men play the entire cast of over 20 eccentric characters of multiple genders and various ages.

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes was born and raised in San Jose, California and is of Mexican and Native American descent. She is one of five children and has a large extended family to which she remains close. In the beginning of her career, Johnson- Reyes was a professional cheerleader for the Oakland Raiders. After that year she decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of acting. She became an internet sensation with her viral video, “Nail Salon” which led to many stand up, television and film opportunities. That same year she joined the cast of, “MADtv” as a series regular, which spawned another internet sensation, “Bon Qui Qui.” This original character, a disgruntled fast food employee with no filter, has been enjoyed, viewed and replicated by over 65 million people worldwide. After recording and releasing 3 songs and 2 music videos as Bon Qui Qui, Anjelah signed a record deal with Warner Bros. Records to release a full album titled, “Gold Plated Dreams”, which She’s toured twice selling out both times.

When a two-alarm fire breaks out Christmas Eve morning, the entire team rushes to save a woman and her baby. In true Mosley Street Melodrama fashion, there is a villain (Captain Pyro) and a hero (Sparky) that the audience can root for. Following intermission, enjoy a musical comedy revue. Dinner is catered by Pig In Pig Out Barbeque.
